 January 2015 found us returning to Cuba for five weeks. It seemed like the perfect interlude between Christmas in the Yucatan with our daughter and her family and the beaches of Zihuatanejo. We stayed longer in a few of our favourite towns and discovered Playa Caleton on the Bay of Pigs, which became our favourite beach. Once again we travelled by the convenient tourist bus and sometimes by private taxi. The Cuban version of B&Bs were even better than we experienced in 2012. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, our hosts were welcoming and helpful, and the meals were a treat. We encourage everyone to visit Cuba and meet the local people. You will be glad you did.
