France

Eiffel Tower

Vimy Ridge WWI Memorial

Our visits to France have become more frequent since our daughter Erica, her husband Andrew Auerbach and their two young boys, Atticus and Roman, moved to Paris in the fall of 2007. Besides spending time with the family, we have taken a few excursions to places nearby, including Limoux France and Barcelona and Catalonia Spain Intro in 2012.

In October 2016, we explored Strasbourg and the Alsace Wine Region. Following that trip, we took the boys to Amsterdam 2016 and Bruges 2016 during their school break. October 2017 found us in Paris again with a side trip with Atticus and Roman to the Argonne region, home of Champagne and site of many WWI battles.

With Erica, Andrew, Atticus and Roman back in Paris as of July 2021, Jeanne decided to visit them in October and November 2021. Besides enjoying Paris after several years, Erica, Jeanne and the boys took the train to La Rocelle on the Atlantic coast to visit Île de Ré for several days on rented bicycles. After returning to Paris, Erica and Jeanne visited Berlin, Germany.
